Unveils New Logo Celebrating 10 Years of Excellence
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The Utah Basketball Officials Association (UBOA) proudly announces the unveiling of its new official logo, commemorating the Association's 10th Anniversary and marking a decade of excellence in basketball officiating throughout the State of Utah.
The refreshed logo features a bold, modern design inspired by Utah's iconic mountains and the game of basketball, symbolizing the professionalism, integrity, and dedication that define UBOA. While honoring the Association's first decade of service, the new brand reflects its continued commitment to recruiting, educating, mentoring, and developing officials for the future.
“This logo represents more than a new identity—it represents ten years of growth, service, and commitment to the basketball community across Utah,” said UBOA leadership. “As we celebrate this milestone, we remain focused on providing exceptional officials and advancing the profession through education, accountability, and leadership.”
The new logo will appear immediately on UBOA uniforms, apparel, digital platforms, marketing materials, and official communications throughout the 2026–2027 basketball season.
UBOA extends its sincere appreciation to its members, assignors, schools, athletic directors, coaches, players, and fans for their continued support over the past decade and looks forward to serving Utah basketball for many years to come.

Cal Sports and Utah Basketball Officials Association Unite to Form Utah’s Largest Independent Basketball Officials Organization
Salt Lake City, UT — November 7, 2025 — Cal Sports and the Utah Basketball Officials Association (UBOA) are proud to announce a new partnership that unites their officiating programs under a single organization. Operating under the name Utah Basketball Officials Association, with just shy of 300 officials, this collaboration creates Utah’s largest independent basketball officials' association, serving players, leagues, and tournaments across the Wasatch Front.
The partnership combines decades of expertise, training excellence, and community engagement to elevate the standard of basketball officiating in Utah. By joining forces, Cal Sports and UBOA will enhance training opportunities, streamline scheduling, and expand officiating coverage for youth, high school, and adult leagues throughout the region.
“This partnership represents an exciting step forward for basketball in Utah,” said Carlos Lopez, Founder of Cal Sports. “By uniting our efforts under the Utah Basketball Officials Association, we’re strengthening the officiating community and improving the experience for players, coaches, and officials alike.”
